Mini Twisted Updo

I love my mini twists (missing my 'fro a little bit lol)!

To switch it up a bit I decided to rock an updo this week. My goal is to protect my ends from the cold so, an updo would most certainly do the trick. To achieve this look I did the following:

Sprayed mixture of Water/Aloe Vera juice (50/50 mix) onto mini twists to dampen.

Applied Coconut Oil to mini twists to seal in moisture from water mix (focused on ends of hair).

Bunch mini twists into 5-6 sections and twist, tuck, roll and pin into desirable style.

BAM! This look slays and it's easy (I am feeling myself in the last pic, lol).

Protective Styling Challenge- 2013

Happy New Year!

I decided with this new beginning I would dedicate some time to protective styling. I know being a natural lady I love to "go out with my fros out" but with the cold weather rearing it's ugly head I didn't want my ends to take a beating.

On December 1, 2012 I got 3 inches trimmed from my hair and decided I am protective styling from January 1, 2013 through April 19, 2013 using the following;

* Mini Twists
* Twisted Updos
* Weaves
* Wigs

In wearing these styles I will be sure to cleanse my scalp thoroughly and deep condition on wash day.
I will track my progress and include the products that I use.

Here's to maximum growth in 2013!!!
